Full Synthetic vs Synthetic Blend Oil

Which oil is right for your vehicle?

The Basics

Full synthetic oil is chemically engineered to provide better engine protection with fewer impurities and a stronger base — and it lasts longer between changes. Synthetic blend oil mixes synthetic and conventional oils, offering less protection and requiring more frequent changes.

Engine Protection

Full SynSuperior protection with fewer impurities and a stronger base.
BlendModerate protection — diluted with conventional oil.

Temperature Performance

Full SynExcellent low-temperature flow and high heat resistance.
BlendDecent performance but less stable at extremes.

Change Intervals

Full SynBreaks down slower — longer intervals between changes.
BlendNeeds more frequent changes.

Burn & Leak Resistance

Full SynLess likely to leak into the combustion chamber or evaporate.
BlendHigher chance of burn-off and evaporation.

The Verdict

We only sell Premium Full Synthetic because it is the better choice — it's stronger, performs better, and lasts longer. However, always follow your manufacturer's recommendations for oil type and viscosity, and never exceed the recommended change interval regardless of oil type.

Using the Wrong Oil

Using the wrong oil can cause cold-start failures, burning smells, oil leaks, and engine noise — especially when using full synthetic in older vehicles. We always check your owner's manual for the correct viscosity and performance specifications.
